The Royal Highland Show is one of the UK’s iconic outdoor events, celebrating the best of Scottish countryside, farming and agriculture. Walkers will be exhibiting at the show, and we hope to see you there. Royal Highland Show – practical details

The Royal Highland Show takes place at the Royal Highland Centre in Ingliston outside Edinburgh in Scotland every June. The 2015 event is from June 18 to June 21, and the doors open at 07.30 in the morning each day. You can buy tickets for the 2015 Royal Highland Show here. The Royal Highland Centre is located close to Edinburgh Airport, and there is plenty of parking for visitors to the biggest outdoor event in Scotland. The agricultural show attracts a whopping 200,000 visitors each year, both agricultural professionals and spectators of all ages. Walkers are excited to be part of the Royal Highland Show, enjoying the best of the Highlands, Scottish agriculture and our own traditions.

What to expect

Royal Highland Show Horse and CartThe Royal Highland show is celebrating its 175th anniversary in 2015, and this year’s show promises to be an extraordinary one. Choose practical clothes, wear layers and make sure you keep warm and dry as many events are outside without cover. A handy umbrella is not a bad idea to protect against the rain! It is a good idea to wear sturdy footwear, preferably waterproof. The Royal Highland Show brings together farming, food and the countryside, and it is a wonderful chance to experience the Scottish rural industries. There will be over 5000 live animals on show, including top quality pedigree livestock and horses. Machinery displays and demonstrations, food stalls, competitions, entertainment and music are all exciting parts of the show, which has plenty to offer for the whole family.

There will be tasting samples of our premium shortbread, baked from the traditional recipe handed down through the generations, and a chance to learn about how Walkers work behind the scene.
